The course combines clear explanation, practical demonstration and hands-on practice to help participants feel more confident responding to an anaphylactic emergency.

This practical course gives participants the knowledge and confidence to recognise the signs of a serious allergic reaction, respond appropriately and use an adrenaline auto-injector correctly.
Training is delivered face-to-face at your premises and can be tailored to the needs of your organisation and the people you support.
Anaphylaxis training for schools and Benedict’s Law
From September 2026, new statutory allergy-safety requirements apply to many schools in England.
The Department for Education’s statutory guidance requires relevant schools to put appropriate allergy-safety arrangements in place, including an allergy safety policy, allergy-awareness training for staff, appropriate Individual Healthcare Plans and systems for managing the use of adrenaline auto-injectors.
These requirements are commonly referred to as Benedict’s Law.
Our practical anaphylaxis training can support schools in meeting the staff-training element of these requirements by helping staff to:

respond appropriately in an emergency
understand when adrenaline may be required
practise using adrenaline auto-injector training devices
build confidence responding to anaphylaxis in the school environment
Training can be delivered on-site to whole staff teams and can support schools in meeting the staff-training elements of the guidance.

Practical adrenaline auto-injector training
Knowing what an adrenaline auto-injector looks like is not the same as feeling confident using one in an emergency.
Participants have the opportunity to practise with training devices and work through realistic scenarios, helping them become more familiar with the actions required when anaphylaxis is suspected.
The emphasis is on practical skills, clear decision-making and building confidence to act promptly.
